Hordu and Odro

Odro has sold video to recruitment agencies since 2012 and has more than 800 customers. Hordu covers the same ground with a different model. Here is the honest comparison. Shortlists are what Odro calls Talent Dashboards.

Buying

Odro. Quote only; the quote form tiers by CRM size. Third-party reports range from $65 to $300 per user per month on 24 or 36 month terms. AssistCV is sold per seat or per CV with a seven-day pilot.

Hordu. £29, £49 or £79 per seat per month, published. No minimum seats, no annual term unless you want the discount, a 21-day trial with no card. Export everything free if you leave.

Product shape

Odro. Capture, Vision, AssistCV and Vantage behind a launcher, each with its own licence pool. Producer (intros, outros, subtitles) is a paid add-on.

Hordu. One product, one navigation, one settings page. Intro and outro cards and subtitled downloads on every plan.

Live interviews

Odro. Rooms on Vonage. Reviewers report freezing, dropped audio, failed saves, and candidates needing many steps to get in.

Hordu. Recorded on the server from the moment you press record, TURN over port 443 for locked-down client networks, a connection test in every invitation, audio-only join when a camera is blocked.

Teams and Zoom

Odro. Zoom cloud recordings import through a Marketplace connector; Teams is named as a choice with no documented data flow.

Hordu. Paste the meeting link and Hordu joins the call as a participant, records it and runs the same transcript and summary. No tenant admin consent.

Recordings

Odro. Watch counts. No transcripts or summaries on interviews; subtitles only in the paid Producer add-on.

Hordu. Transcript with speaker labels, captions, a summary and highlights on every recording, search across all of them, and a drafted title you can accept.

Client shortlist

Odro. Talent Dashboards with password or magic link, thumbs up and down, comments, CV and summary; right-to-work documents and an ID check status.

Hordu. One-tap Yes, Maybe and No inside the email, reasons on a No, reply to any notification email and it lands on the thread, reminders when a client goes quiet, competency ratings, documents the candidate allowed, a trust line showing who interviewed them live, and interview requests against times you offer.

Candidate videos

Odro. Solo interviews with question sets. A candidate's Trustpilot review in June 2026 asked for one to be deleted.

Hordu. A 60-second intro from one prompt, as many takes as they like, or a written answer, asked after you have spoken to them. One-way interviews with question sets for when you need them.

CV formatting

Odro. AssistCV, a separate product with its own pricing; integrations with Bullhorn, Bullhorn for Salesforce, JobAdder, Mercury, Loxo, Manatal and Seven20.

Hordu. Included on every plan with templates, anonymisation and one-click attach to a shortlist.

Bullhorn

Odro. Embedded in the record with status updates and attachment import, the feature reviewers praise most.

Hordu. A Hordu tab on Candidate and Job records, shortlists sent from the vacancy, client reactions mapped to submission statuses, notes and formatted CVs written back.

Integrations

Odro. Bullhorn, Vincere, JobAdder, Zoom; an enterprise-only Outlook add-in. No public API for the video products.

Hordu. Bullhorn now, a REST API, webhooks and Zapier on Pro and Scale, Vincere and JobAdder next.

Outcomes

Odro. An admin placement log, usage by feature, and monthly leaderboard emails.

Hordu. A placed outcome on every card, video-assisted placements on the analytics page, client response times per client, and an opt-in weekly team email.

Mobile

Odro. No app; a reviewer's plan did not allow phone recording.

Hordu. Client and candidate pages built for the phone; record from a phone browser; install it to the home screen. Native app in Phase 2.

AI position

Odro. AI parsing and prompts for CVs; Vantage scores and ranks leads.

Hordu. AI for transcription, summaries, parsing and anonymisation, with a plain line on every candidate page saying so. No candidate scoring or ranking, ever.

Support

Odro. Phone and email, Monday to Thursday 9 to 5 and Friday 9 to 4, a 24-hour target, no chat.

Hordu. Chat and email, Monday to Friday 8 to 6 UK, first reply within four working hours, and a public status page.

The Odro column describes its public website, blog, help centre, Bullhorn and Zoom Marketplace listings and product privacy policy as read on 31 October 2026, and user reviews on Capterra, GetApp, G2, Software Advice and Trustpilot read the same day. Odro's own pricing page says its price depends on the product mix, licence count, CRM and candidate database size.
